Sunset after Thunderstorm

I didn’t have a wide angle lens so I stitched together a bunch of photos in Photoshop to try and emulate how incredibly beautiful this scene was from my window after a big thunderstorm on Friday early evening in the city.  My friend took some great photos of the sky at the same time from his hood in Long Island City.

An homage to all the rain we’ve been having this week, passing by a bar on 32nd (?) by Madison Square Garden.

Dynasty Supermarket

Am I coming off as a yuppie snob because I think this arrangement of edible and non-edible goods is soooo funny and kind of gross?

Matte metal

It’s so beautiful. Whatever this matte material is made of (silver? aluminum? painted bronze?) it sure makes even kitschy junk on 29th street look good.

A long winter

It’s been unusally cold this season in NYC.  This sunny day belies how frigid it actually was walking up the stairwell, but it’s a nice reminder of what to look forward to, hopefully in a month or so.  FYI, using the StairMaster at the gym has actually made the 6 flight walk up to my apartment a breeze!
