Here are some photos from my trip to New Mexico. It was actually a lot colder than I thought it would be! Besides that, the landscape is beautiful and I felt like I was floating through large expanses of light, shadow and textures (duh, I think I mean surreal). We drove around a lot, which was nice, listened to music, visited the Gila Cliff Dwellings, walked through El Paso, hiked, tracked footprints, napped and played Scrabble. I photographed with the Lomo plastic TLR camera and the small point and shoot digital. The square pictures are plain scans of the film, so the images have been really downgraded and have lots of actual dust on them, but I kind of like the look.

Steps towards Gila Caves.

In front of a cave opening.

First time at a shooting range! It was actually kind of fun, but took getting used to
firing the gun without feeling like I was about to die.

I don’t think my aim wasn’t that bad.

Again through El Paso.
