Ink Cleaning
I cleaned out all the barrels in my fountain pens the other day, and it’s crazy how much ink is stored in just the nib. Everytime I thought that I’d gotten all the ink out, a little more color would dribble out. It made a big difference in the writing quality afterwards though, so it was worth it.

Practicing a New Signature
Today I got my first fountain pen, a white Lamy Safari. I got a cheap one because I wanted one that I could take out and about and not regret it if I lost it. Fountain pens are sooooo cool. They write so easily, and the beauty of them is that the simple touch of the nib to the paper draws the ink out so there’s a distinct look to the penmanship by just changing the pressure. More info about the fountain pen can be found at this site. Anyway, this is another thing that has become a little bit of a geeky obsession for me lately.

Foggy Mirror
A self reflection of myself after a rare shower during the day. Showering during the day is nice because it feels like I’m also bathing in sunlight since my bathroom is bright and sunny. Showers in the day also elicit from people the response of, “Did you do something different to your hair?” “Did you cut your hair?” or more succinctly, “You look different.” Apparently there is a vast difference between showering in the morning to showering before bed of which I’m usually the latter.

Gladys Marcus Library at FIT
Semester is almost over and I can’t wait!!! Looking forward to relaxing with my man and my pets, going to LA and playing hours and hours of wi-fi Tetris on Nintendo DS. Before that I gotta get a short film shot and edited onto a DVD, do a photo shoot with my mom, study for my East Asian Art exam, produce a 30 sec. commercial about cereal, write a draft of my senior thesis on truth, memory, nostalgia and blah blah blah and present it to faculty, and do a super easy in class essay about US History. Nothing tough, just a matter of getting shit done one after the other without my usual breaks, which consist of napping, “facebooking” and general zoning out.
