Making of the Pirate Video

One of the Wobbleboxes wrote a song about pirates for International Talk Like a Pirate Day.  I played the (bucket) drums, Wobbleboxer played guitar, piano and sang, and Tee Bone played bass.

Song and video to come!

I guess there’s nothing pirate-y in the photos.

Update: Here’s the song and video!

Settings to remember

For functional purposes, nothing to be nostalgic about.

Connected to the keyboard I currently play with in this band.

Funkadelic Studios 2

So Funkadelic Studios moved their business to another part of Midtown and is still in the midst of their move.  I never really cared for their bathroom or studio rooms at their last location (26th street) but their newest location is kind of appalling.  The beer can is mine.

Jose Gonzalez

We got free & VIP access to this show thanks to Prefix (thanks Prefix!)  The show was outdoors alongside the Gowanus canal in Brooklyn which was the perfect setting for Jose’s music.  We were able to sit a few feet from the stage and sat right on the ground, so it sort of felt like listening to campfire music (which is a good thing!)  They even gave out free yummy smores and even better — there was an OPEN BAR.

Weezer shows have only gotten better

They played at Madison Square Garden tonight and it was great. I’ve seen them play a few times before and it was good then because of the smaller venues but it was good now too because they played songs from Pinkerton and Blue albums, even b-side song Suzanne! So that made up for the crappy sound system at MSG and ironically semi-annoying =W= fans.
