Last weekend I photographed a wedding for a former co-worker. I took over 1200 photographs over the course of 9 hours and I have no idea of how to edit the volume down. I can see why photographers charge thousands of dollars for their service, there’s a lot of work involved! My trigger finger was really sore after that day! And I can’t imagine photographing more than one wedding during a season while maintaining a consistent quality to the work as well as keeping one’s sanity (unless, of course, you’re getting paid thousands of dollars). At least I wasn’t the videographer – editing that job would REALLY BLOW.

Sunday afternoon
I can’t remember anything else I did, I just remember the light and how it turned my kitty into a tiger.

Lincoln Tunnel
Part of my morning commute now includes a pit stop at Munchies in Port Authority for coffee and then a quick scamper to the bus for a ride into gorgeous Jersey. This was a rare find while sitting in traffic in the Tunnel: warm sunlight creeping through that transformed my normally banal trip into something that felt a little more mysterious and special. Hooray for warm weather and sunlight!

New Chairs
Our first set of furniture where we’re actually concerned about it getting ruined by the cat’s claws. It’s a delicate balance between not being a totally lame superficial yuppy vs. learning to be a grown up that kind of cares about stuff because it’s also lame to pretend that you’re still a kid when you’re not. Drinking a Sunday afternoon beer or two is great for yammering.
My approach to this situation was to trim the kitty’s nails with clippers.
